“Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.”  There are many today who believe they are following God yet who keep records of perceived wrongs, who boast, who are rude, who are self-seeking and definitely do not tell the truth.  We need to do and be better!

I was driving in Missouri this weekend.  I ended up following a tractor pulling a very wide piece of farm equipment which covered most of the road.  I do not mind waiting for farm equipment. I grew up on a farm and perfectly understand.  What I did not like was that there was an American flag mounted on the piece of equipment.  I do not remember any of the rules for proper display of the flag saying that it may be mounted on machinery where it will be covered with dust and dirt while being pulled through a field.

The reason I was driving in Missouri was that I did my first antique show of the year at Paris.  It is a nice show and I love to do it.  The show has very nice quality antiques and the people who sponsor the show are great.  Despite serious health issues of her husband, the lady most responsible for the show was there.  Prayers for the family.  Got set up on Friday evening, had dinner at the motel and got ready to start the show on Saturday morning.  There was a nice crowd for the show and sales were brisk.  Thanks to a couple of friends from Macomb, I was able to get change from my van, get lunch and go to the bathroom while they watched my booth for a while.  Thank you.  And thanks to the sponsors for having such a nice show.  Good way to start show season.

The Plymouth Park got a grant and there is constant work going on there.  Though we had a fairly new piece of playground equipment, we got more.  It has made a difference.  Each day that weather permits, the park is filled with children and their parents all enjoying the new equipment.  I do notice however that the “good old swings” are constantly full.  So nice to see families enjoy the park.

I am grateful for all the kind comments I receive from readers of this column.  I really appreciate each of you who choose to spend some time with me. Had a reader from Canada reach out to me and I asked that they pray for our country.  Thanks to each of you for your encouragement.

Want also to thank all the customers who came to the store over the weekend.  Sounds like it was very busy, Thank You.

May you have a good week.  May you enjoy the spring flowers.  May the winds die down.  Picked up limbs but now more to gather.  May you give and receive Love and may all of us show kindness to all others no matter if you agree with them or not.  Now reread the first paragraph.
