Read in Reader’s Digest that there are 7 pillars of health. I agree with them but not necessarily in their order: Sleep, nutrition, movement, emotional mastery, thought/mindset, relationships and purpose. We can do a lot about many of them. The one I feel that is very important and that I don’t feel I can control is relationships.
Some of you may want to quit reading now. I try to hate absolutely no one. Some of my best friends disagree with me and we “agree to disagree and move on”. We do not hate each other. But..58,000 young American men died in Vietnam. They were my generation so I was deeply affected by that war. The stated purpose of that war was to stop the spread of communism. When DJT said this week that Ukraine stated the war with Russia, that was a lie. When he called the President of Ukraine a dictator, that was also a lie. We have given assistance to the Ukrainian cause in the form of arms, munitions, tanks, etc. We have not sent our young men there to die. When DJT says that Ukraine started the war, and we no longer support them, in my opinion that just gives the green light to Putin to try to take over any other country that may have precious minerals which they need. It is also not right for America to try to take those minerals.
When DJT and Musk fire the heads of the branches of our military, it weakens our country’s ability to defend itself. It is not right to fire these people simply to replace them with someone who will support DJT without question. It is also not right for two people to feel they have the authority to fire everyone in federal jobs. We have seen reductions in employees in the FAA, FBI, IRS, FEMA, DOE, National Park employees and so many more. I have noticed that there has been no mention of firings in the secret service, the people who protect DJT. It is tax season and the IRS needs employees to handle tax season. Were you expecting a timely tax refund. If the National Parks are closed because of lack of staffing, I see the next move is to “drill baby drill” on federal land. If FEMA is abolished and disaster relief is left to the states, do you think that the fact that California will suffer the most could just possibly be because it is a “blue” state. The DOE is important. Education is important. Uneducated people are more easily led and easier to control.
Musk has said, without any proof, that there are people 150 years old on the social security rolls. He has not said and that does not mean they are getting social security checks. I get some social security payments from my husband. I could live without them but many, many elderly or disabled people depend on social security to survive. It is also not right to take benefits from the poor. A free school lunch may be the only food some children get each day. Food we send to other countries also feeds starving people. I believe the Bible tells us to take care of widows, orphans and those who are poor.
I do not understand why congress is allowing all this to happen. Chaos in our country and around the world is not good. I find it hard to sleep at night and I have not been directly affected by the chaos. Just think of those who have been “fired” for no just reason. Pray for our country and for the world.
Spam has been rampant this week. I got an invoice for 12,000 dollars for an order I did not make. I got a request to update my email but when one checks, the address is not from Adams. I got a request for a 5 day stay at the B&B but the email was not addressed to me which means I was just a BCC (blind carbon copy).
